Luccombes Coarse Fishery: A Great Angling Destination

When you reserve a fishing trip, you can fish in the five lakes the whole time. You can also get refreshments at the cafe. You can customize the fishing holiday packages to fit your needs.

They are great for all levels and ages and are perfect for individuals, couples, and families. Whether you want a peaceful fishing spot or a relaxing getaway, this site has it.


The highest place property is Oak Pond. It is a peaceful and secluded spot for swimming. There are Willow and Pine trees. These trees give shade on one side of the pond.

The sun shines on the open and swims all day on the other side. Everyone can see the swaying reeds in the middle. The fish finds a safe place here.

Stay alert and be quick. Carp are fast and know where to go. The depth of this pond varies from 2ft to 4ft, without any doubt.


The Silvers-only pond is famous and has many different types of fish. It is also a good pond for beginners. Just be aware that the site may have missed a few carp when it used a net.

The swims are spacious, and you can fish alone. You can also catch fish with a partner and with your child. This site always encourages juniors to try the sport.

Birch is a fantastic place to start, especially with a whip or pole. The depth of this great pond varies from 2 to 4 feet.


The middle pond is wide open, but the fish know where to go. It has small to medium-sized carp and a few ghosties. These fish are fast and often swim near the edges for protection.

It’s a lot of fun to go fishing for them and feel the tug on the fishing rod as you catch a few. The water depth can range from 2 to 5 feet.

Look for hidden spots in the margins and use ground bait and loose pellets to attract fish. Try using a method feeder or float fishing with 4-6mm pellets, soft hooks, and maggots.

Pole fishing is perfect for intermediate and advanced anglers. Try to use floating mixers, dog biscuits, and bread in the summer evenings.


This one does not have overstock. It’s a bit more challenging and requires effort. Ash has much larger carp, weighing 10 and 20 lbs, with a few over 20 lbs.

It includes a double swim in one corner and four spacious swims. Those over 18 can enter, and the depth ranges from 3 ft-7 ft.

Small PVA bags or pellets with 6-8mm Robin Red or Sticky Manila are ideal. Start with small amounts of high-quality boilies.


This fishing spot is popular because it’s easy to reach and has a mix of different fish. It’s great for all types of fishing. The depth ranges from 3 to 6 feet.

The species include Carp, Tench, Crucians, Bream, Perch, Roach, Rudd, and Skimmers. Carp weighs less than 14 pounds.

Tench weighs less than 2 pounds. Crucians weigh less than 1 pound. Bream weighs less than 5 pounds. Perch weighs less than 2 pounds.

Here are some tips for fishing. You can use a method feeder or pole to fish. Use Robin Red and Krill pellets as bait. Use 4-6mm loose feed.

When fishing for carp, use an 8mm hook and at least 8 lbs line. Be careful of heatstroke. It’s an open area, so set up your umbrella for shade.

Please park your vehicle in the designated spaces. You can unload equipment near the ponds but do not park on the grass. Children under 16 must be with an adult.

Anglers 13 and older need a fishing license for coarse fishing and the ideal number of rods. You can get one online or at the post office.

You can’t bring your nets or mats. Bring your handle or ask at reception to buy one. The Ash Pond of the Luccombes Fishery has cradles and weighs slings.

Anglers can not use nets, except during matches, and only on fishery keep nets. There’s a limit of 2 rods on all ponds. You can’t use lead core or barbed hooks.

ASH Pond is only available for individuals who are 18 years and older. Please do not reserve swims. Please be considerate and give other anglers a fair opportunity.

If management finds personal equipment left to reserve a swim for too long, they will take it away. Handle fish gently. Kneel and place the fish on the mat for photos.
